As a former RN for over 20 years, I've seen nursing change dramatically. One thing that's shifted significantly is the lack of support nurses face, especially amid today's healthcare challenges. During COVID, we were called healthcare heroes. The truth is, we've always been heroes. Yet our only "appreciation" has been pizza parties and ice cream.

I started NurseStrong Expo to remind nurses: every action you take matters. Even beyond CPR, you're saving lives daily. People in the community know nurses always have been and always will be, heroes. I created a community to feel truly seen and valued.

Renee's story is itself compelling proof that nurses can build fulfilling second careers or side ventures. She embodies the kind of transition and reinvention many nurses in her audience are curious about, which makes her a relatable and aspirational figure at the helm of the event. Community-minded leadership. She’s building a community, rooted in genuine appreciation for nurses and a desire to support them beyond the clinical setting.
